One thing is for sure, once you arrive in Las Vegas you are going to be deluged with advertisements for shows and activities. You are likely to become overwhelmed with the choices and you might become a little bit clouded and confused about what to see and do while you're in Las Vegas. This is especially true when it comes to your family, as many of the choices are not suitable for young kids, and this is a fact that is not always advertised. The best plan then, is to have your list of where-to-go's and what-to-do's in hand when you arrive, and, bring along a sense of flexibility should you and the family be overtaken by the desire to do something not on the list.
Kids On The Strip
Las Vegas has one thing unlike any other city, and that is the number of potential activities packed into such a compact space. The world famous Strip that everyone is so familar with, for example, is really only a few miles long. Most of the major casinos are packed into about a 3 mile stretch of Las Vegas Blvd between Hacienda and Sahara.
Within this stretch of glittering lights, volcanoes and dancing fountains, parents are likely to find a number of potential destinations for the family. Most of the largest casinos offer some kind of attraction of another for the kids. Some, like the MGM, and a good place to take everyone because they offer a selection of activities for everyone.
