Is Las Vegas A Good Place for Families?
When you think of Las Vegas, what's the first thing to comes to mind? Slot machines? That famous sign? Showgirls and free drinks? None of those things has anything to do with kids. It can be hard for parents to make adult time when the family can't all enjoy those activities together. Yet with some planning and consideration for your next vacation, it is possible to bring the family here and for everyone to have an equally good time. The adults, obviously, will have plenty of time to gamble and do adult things while the kids are enjoying themselves and having their own family activities.
Several years ago, our family decided to spend a week here. Having been here myself nearly a hundred times or more for business or pleasure, it was difficult for me to imagine how we would all fair in a casino hotel for a week. Sure, there was plenty to do. But all the smoking and drinking had the wife and I concerned, plus, how, exactly do you explain gambling and the scantily clad "free drink" girls all over the casino?
The obvious solution was to rent a vacation home instead. That way we would have our own private desert oasis, and still be within a few minutes of all the Strip excitement. With a vacation home rental it would be easy to have a clean safe environment for the family, and yet, not be too far from all the "sin" should be want to partake. And honestly, how can you bring your kids to Las Vegas without visiting the Strip? It's just that the Strip is not the best place to lodge with your kids.
The home we chose was in Green Valley, about a 5 minute drive from the airport. We checked in ourselves to find the pool table setup and readt, snacks in the kitchen, and the pool sparkling and ready for fun. It took all of two minutes before we heard the first cannonball splash! It was at that moment we knew, THIS was a great idea! We picked up our car 10 minutes ago, and already the fun has started. This is going to be a great week.
Our beautiful Las Vegas vacation home, and our week in paradise, turned out the be one of the best vacations we have ever had. So much so in fact, that we did it again the next year, and tren decided to move to Las Vegas. We recommend the next time you bring your family to Las Vegas, that you stay in a vacation home rental inside. Then you will know what we know. That Las Vegas really can be fun, for the whole family!
